Consequences of bus accident quickly mapped

A very serious bus accident in Spain dominated the news for some time in the summer of 2010. A Spanish bus with Dutch passengers left the road near Barcelona. There were six fatalities and sixty injured. CED Mens was called in to handle the personal and injury claims. The Spanish insurer of the bus reported to CED shortly after the accident. CED Mens immediately started working to discover the victims’ details, to answer questions, and to communicate via the Slachtofferhulp (Victim assistance) website. The claims levels were assessed according to Spanish standards by Spanish doctors, but based on Dutch regulations. A complication was the interim downfall of the Spanish insurer, because of which it was necessary to collaborate with the Dutch and Spanish Guarantee fund. At that moment, the strength of an international network became clear. With the aid of the CED company Interiura, the necessary contacts were rapidly established.
